Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with this well-known logistics business based in Swindon to recruit an experienced and talented HR Manager on a permanent basis.

It's an exciting opportunity, supporting an ever expanding business - making sure best practice HR policies are followed and leading the HR development agenda across the business.

Managing a team of 3, you will lead, maintain and enhance the HR function by providing full HR generalist support and advice to Managers and Employees, ensuring a current knowledge of employee legislation and employee relations issues are maintained to ensure the business remains compliant and risk is mitigated. You will take the lead on complex ER issues, facilitating harmonious employee relations with the site teams and respective Trade Union representatives to ensure optimum working efficiency within the operation.

About the role:

  • Lead the HR function in the delivery of operational advice and assistance across the full range of HR issues, including disciplinary and grievance, organisational change, trade union relationship, as well as advice on the interpretation of Company HR policy in compliance with Company and Statutory requirements and best practice
  • Support managers ensuring an understanding of their business objectives and to ensure the adequate provision of HR support and advice as necessary to achieve those objectives, and manage any associated risks
  • Schedule and conduct annual salary evaluations - recommend and plan salary revisions based on findings
  • Ensure appropriate advice and support to managers in the management of their teams in compliance with Company policies and relevant employment law and best practice
  • Work closely with managers and team leaders to support ER and develop team members

About you:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar HR management role, preferably in an operational environment, with exposure of dealing with trade unions
  • A proven track record in change management and the ability to drive HR transformation
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, coaching and motivational skills
  • An organised, data-focused and conscientious approach to your work
  • Ideally but not essentially CIPD qualified

If you are a progressive and ideally CIPD qualified HR Professional with some great experience and knowledge of employment law and good practice with exposure to advising managers on the full range of employee related issues and possess a professional and proactive approach, with the ability to communicate concisely, effectively and persuasively, we are keen to hear from you ASAP.
