We are seeking a driven and self-motivated Early Careers Resourcing Advisor who will be responsible for the early careers recruitment including apprenticeship, vacation scheme, trainee and paralegal recruitment. This role is available in the Basingstoke office.

Reporting to the Senior Resourcing Manager and working alongside the wider resourcing team this role will offer scope for creativity, use of initiative and personal development. This is an exciting position whereby you can inspire talent to join a forward-thinking Top 50 UK law firm.

Main responsibilities;

  • End-to-end recruitment for all early careers positions. You will take ownership of the candidate experience, from initial engagement through assessment and to offer stage, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Plan and attend on-campus events throughout the milkround season (October to December). This may include evening events.
  • Coordinate and run vacation scheme assessment days, including delivery of feedback to candidates following hiring decision.
  • Plan and execute Easter and Summer Vacation Scheme programme - Managing vacation scheme placements, including assessments, feedback, buddies, mentors, etc.
  • Working closely with our Diversity, Inclusion & CSR Manager on the delivery of our 1st year programme EMpower
  • Organise and conduct training contract interviews
  • Work with our Diversity Partners Rare, Prime and others to ensure we are using the most appropriate recruitment strategies to recruit the best talent and reach our diversity goals.
  • Arrange A-level work experience programme and any ad hoc informal shadowing.
  • Act as a mentor for current trainees and help organise the seating plan for trainees every six months;
  • Work with Senior Resourcing Manager and key stakeholders to run the qualification process for trainees for March & September qualifiers.
  • Be the main point of contact for future trainee joiners, keep them updated on firm progress, organise keep in touch events and ensure LPC/SQE study is complete ahead of joining.
  • Graduate recruitment marketing - annually updating Firms career website, advertising, profiles, managing trainee surveys and planning social media activity.
  • Conduct an annual review of the early careers recruitment processes using data to drive decisions and suggest process improvements/ new recruitment strategies.
  • Actively participate in team projects including implementation of SQE strategy, interviewer training, candidate experience and other ad hoc projects across the HR team.

Essential and desirable criteria

  • Previous experience within early careers, understanding the full life cycle of graduate recruitment
  • Outstanding service minded focus with a professional presence, positive attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organised and enjoy a high-paced and dynamic working environment
  • Demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks often within challenging deadlines
  • Experience of how to source, screen and recruit for professional services' vacancies, including running assessment days
  • A curious mindset that will challenge processes and suggest improvements
  • Ability to collaborate and have a strong team orientation
  • Excellent IT skills with experience of applicant tracking systems (Apply4law/allhires), Outlook and Excel. An ability to analyse and manipulate data desirable
  • Knowledge of the graduate recruitment landscape, apprenticeships and SQE would also be advantageous.
