Job Details

In this role, you will take the lead role in executing the delivery of the newly created ER strategy. The primary focus within the new strategy is to enhance the capability of managers and the HR operations team to build confidence and promote best practise when it comes to managing performance and providing HR advice to managers.

The expectation of this role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Leading the execution of the employee relations strategy across the organisation
  • Providing effective ER leadership
  • As the subject matter expert for employee relations, you will be the 'go to' person for senior leaders, managers and HR colleagues requiring support or intervention at a complex level
  • Through effective coaching and influencing, enhance capability and encourage behavioural change
  • Partnering with L&D colleagues to collaborate on training and development opportunities for managers, employees and senior leaders
  • Ensure a robust case management process is rolled out and maintained consistently across the board

We are looking for a HR professional who has:

  • CIPD Level 7+ or equivalent relevant qualification in Employment Law
  • Passion and commitment to keep up to date with changes to case law, legislation and practices
  • Deep exposure and experience within an Employee Relations specialist role, ideally within a complex or highly regulated, unionised environment
  • Experience of driving change behaviour and capability improvement across a multi-disciplined organisation
  • Experience of delivering coaching sessions to a mixed ability group including those outside of HR
  • Sector experience within Charity/Care sector, not essential but a huge advantage
  • Awareness and understanding of the end-to-end process of complex case management
