A higher education institution is looking for an Interim Employee Relations Specialist to join their HR team for an initial 4 months,to start as soon as possible. The role is based in London with hybrid arrangements.

Description

An Interim Employee Relations Specialist:

- No direct reports

- Provide an understanding of HR procedures and be an expert in employment law

- Lead and manage your own portfolio of employee relation cases, ranging from simpler cases, such as sickness absence up to complex cases

- Provide advice, coaching and training to managers

- Managing cases from disciplinary, grievance, misconduct, harassment and potentially employment tribunal

- Work with autonomy

- Work closely with the HR Business Partners to support them with cases

Profile

An Interim Employee Relations Specialist:

- Experience of managing high volume and complex cases

- Ability to work autonomously

- Experience of employment tribunal desirable

- Comfortable working in a unionised environment
