I have partnered with a global Investment Management firm in their search for an Instructional Designer role for their newly created external client training offering. The role will cover both European & Asian clients, with the opportunity to develop training materials specifically for the financial advisor populations as a value-add piece for the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating client content and programs
    • Consult with Trainers, Client Marketing, Sales-colleagues and Investment Specialists to diagnose and develop learning plans with comprehensive audience analysis, course outline, learning solutions and design and delivery methods
    • Transform complex financial topics into well-structured and easy to understand stories which our business partners can use with their clients. o Package and evaluates curriculum plan/design for effectiveness.
    • Working with local Marketing to adjust to local market-specific content that fit the varying needs of the clients and distributors.
    • Oversees maintenance of curriculum and updates/evaluates as appropriate.
  • Project involvement - As part of a new and growing team involvement in projects, as both a participant and lead where appropriate, around our core functions, organisation, and technology
  • Research industry best practices and stays current on trends and technologies to ensures high quality deliverables and efficient, effective solutions
  • Occasional support of internal focused programs where overlap with Client Learning initiatives

Skills:

  • Excellent team player who is detail-oriented, able to multi-task and interact in a fastpaced environment.
  • An agile learner with a client centric mindset.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of instructional design, adult learning practices and eLearning development tools
  • Knowledge of financial markets and investment concept topics such as long-term investing, diversification, various asset classes, ESG, investment psychology and investment themes
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, and professional service orientation to develop working relationships and maintain appropriate rapport with internal and external contacts to enable effective completion of business objectives.
  • Design skills; being able to transform investment concepts into visually attractive content.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint
  • Experience with video-editing (Camtasia) preferred
  • Language skills beyond English preferred but not essential
