The HR Specialist will support the HR Director across all elements of the employee life-cycle, including Employee Relations, Learning and Development, Recruitment, Talent and Performance Management and driving positive Culture and Engagement. The role also bears responsibility for line management of 2 members of the Office Support team

Client Details

My client is a global manufacturing organisation with a headcount of circa 280 employees across 2 sites in the UK (Greater Manchester and West Midlands). They are currently going through an exciting period of change, and are seeking an ambitious HR generalist to support and drive the people agenda through this change and beyond

Description

This is an exciting hands-on and fast-paced role, an opportunity to join a small HR Team and to support the Senior Leadership Team with the people needs of the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting managers across the business by ensuring all HR data, procedures and processes are effectively managed and delivered.

Reporting into the HR Director, my client seeks a confident operator who can build solid relationships quickly, with the passion to drive a 'performance vs well-being vs engagement' culture.

As an operational HR Specialist you will have responsibility for all people-related activities across the 2 UK sites. You will work closely with the HR and Senior leadership on day-to-day HR activities, and play a pivotal role in its development at local level.

Key elements of the role will include;

  • Employee Relations
  • Talent Management & Development
  • Policies and processes
  • Engagement & Culture
  • Learning and Development

This will cover a manufacturing facility and support functions across 2 sites, in Greater Manchester and the West Midlands.

Profile

The ideal candidate may be an existing HR Advisor or Generalist HR Manager seeking the next step in their career. This is a great opportunity for personal development, with opportunity to progress in the business long term.

Ideally, you will have experience in a unionised manufacturing environment or similar.

You will be a natural communicator who will look to engage, develop and maintain key relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

As the HR Specialist, my customer seeks someone with an astute toolkit (including, but not limited to);

  • Employee relations
  • Leadership support and development
  • Talent and performance management
  • Culture & engagement
  • Recruitment
  • The development and maintenance of HR Policies and Processes

Job Offer

A salary of £40,000 - £45,000 plus car allowance (£5000) plus benefits. The business operates a hybrid working model, as well as flexible working based on core working hours.

The role requires travel to the West Midlands site circa twice per month
