Senior Advisor, Payroll & Benefits £65k to £75k + Bonus - West End

A global leading Investment Firm seek an experienced Senior Payroll Professional to come on board and take control of this new opportunity.

Reporting to the Head of Global Payroll in Canada you will be the subject matter expert for the UK and Luxembourg payrolls and must want to own this role outright from the get-go.

This is a brand-new role in London as my client are looking to expand across APAC, EMEA and North America.

Please note: My client is offering an agile working pattern of 2/3 days in the office and 2/3days working from home.

The role:

  • Responsible for daily payroll, benefits, and pension operations to ensure they are performed timely and accurately in accordance with the statutory requirements and company policies and practices
  • Assist in tax related issues and responsible for employer's tax filings and statutory pension reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, prepare payroll journal entries, clarify the gap between payroll reports and account ledgers
  • Main point of contact for all payroll related inquiries from London and Luxembourg and support other global regions as assigned
  • Prepare compensation yearend payroll and special payrolls which can include retroactive and incentive payments
  • Research and ensure compliance with legislation and regulations in respective countries
  • Support payroll team in Europe related projects (e.g., short term business travellers and work flexibility programs)
  • Hands on delivery of various annual payroll and benefit statuary filings and support audit and tax requests and reporting as needed

General responsibility:

  • Participate in projects related to payroll and benefits process improvements and systems implementations by defining requirements, preparing test plans and documenting test results
  • Document and maintain business user guides for various systems, including training material
  • Look for efficiency gains in existing processes and work with members of the HR Operations team to implement changes
  • Vendor management and work with them to deliver multiple stakeholders needs
  • Support questions received in our Payroll/Benefits/Pension inbox in a timely manner
