The Temporary Admissions Interviews Co-ordinator is responsible for arranging and conducting briefing sessions and interviews for international candidates, and providing prompt feedback to the Admissions team.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Temporary Admissions Interview Co-ordinator will be:

  • Refer to the student administration system to create and maintain supporting interview paperwork
  • Book, conduct and record interviews via Microsoft Teams or Zoom
  • Respond to interview-related queries (phone, email and face-to-face) and follow-up as necessary
  • Make and communicate decisions on applications, applying agreed University criteria to ensure decision-making is fair and consistent
  • Provide administrative support for UKVI compliance queries and requests
  • Develop a good knowledge of the courses offered by the University at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of Admissions
  • Adhere to and promote health and safety policies and procedures

Profile

The successful Temporary Admissions Interview Co-ordinator will have:

  • Ideally experience of working in a similar role, with non-UK applicants, preferably in international higher education
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and targets
  • Confidence and competence with using bespoke databases, and proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and experience of spending large amounts of the working day conducting online interviews
  • Accuracy and attention to details
  • Demonstrable commitment to customer service
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • Ability to work under pressure as part of a team or as an individual using own initiative
  • A proactive, flexible approach to working
  • Intercultural sensitivity

Job Offer

On offer for the successful Temporary Admissions Interview Co-ordinator:

  • Temporary role until end of January
  • Salary equivalent up to £28,000
  • 35 hours a week (could do 28 hours a week over 4 days)
  • Hybrid working - 2 days in office and 3 from home / opportunity to be more remote once trained
