In this newly created People and Culture Manager role you will be responsible for designing, creating and implementing all aspects of a robust HR function.

Description

The People and Culture Manager will oversee and ensure the effective delivery of operational HR services supporting line managers and colleagues to perform well in their roles and to contribute to the values of acting with integrity, remaining relevant, being one team and being brave.

  • Ensuring the SLT, line managers and staff are supported and confident to seek appropriate HR guidance and coaching on a wide range of issues.
  • Actively support department managers to recruit cost effectively using safer recruitment techniques and provide a high-quality recruitment service presenting a positive impression of the organisation and attracting high quality candidates.
  • Ensuring HR policies and processes are up to date and reflect regulation and good practice with continued policy maintenance and cyclical reviews. Creation of a new staff handbook, benefits handbook and policy document.
  • Coach and partner the SLT to review the approach to performance and talent management, including managing under performance, talent development and other succession plans.
  • Manage the on boarding process for all new starters coaching line managers to ensure all processes are followed and no gaps in training.
  • Work with the SLT to research and recommend training needs for all staff and teams, develop or source proactive learning opportunities for all staff, focusing on skills gaps and development of talent.

Profile

The successful People and Culture Manager will have:

  • 5 years HR background in a similar role.
  • CIPD Member, working towards or having CIPD Level 5 qualification.
  • Proven experience of successful operational HR delivery and management, in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Proven experience of managing employee relations cases
  • A methodical and organised approach with outstanding attention to detail
  • The ability to build trusting and effective relationships, work with diplomacy and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to work with conflicting and evolving priorities.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK Employment Law and best practice
