Your new company
This 12 month FTC opportunity is with a NHS organisation and will based mainly in the Bristol office.

Your new role
12 month FTC post based in the office mainly. You will be providing a strategic People OD focus and direction - working proactively to support the forward planning, transformation, engagement and performance of the workforce, embedding good people practice and raising people management capability within the Divisions. They work closely with the Chief People Officer, Director of People, AD of Strategic Workforce Planning & Resourcing and other colleagues to develop and implement initiatives that support the delivery. You will lead on people priorities and OD in the Division - providing expert advice and direction on people/workforce planning/employment law issues to inform business planning.

Candidates without NHS experience - salary £63k pa
Candidates with NHS experience up to £73k dep on experience/banding.

What you'll need to succeed
Qualifications and Training: Educated to Degree level or equivalent. CIPD Qualified and Chartered Member of the CIPD. Evidence of Continuing Professional Development as a HR Practitioner. Further education qualification in HRM or business management related studies desirable. Knowledge and Experience: Significant operational HR/People experience with experience of developing the workforce aspects of strategic and operational business plans which include workforce planning and design. Evidence of leading the workforce elements of key organisational change programmes and devising people solutions which ensure consistency. Experience of advising managers on complex change processes including restructuring, redundancy and TUPE transfers. Experience in applying a business partner approach - working with managers to develop services and applying People management expertise to provide solutions to complex problems and delivery of strategic objectives. Experience of developing and implementing People policies - covering organisational development, including supporting / completing management investigations, grievances, discipline, appeals, performance management, capability and organisational change (redundancy). Experience of working in partnership with Trade Unions towards shared goals Sound understanding of HR best practice and employment law.
Experience of preparing and presenting / co presenting cases at internal or external employment tribunals / appeals. Experience in promoting the equality and diversity agenda - able to evidence achievements in relation to organisational equality and diversity objectives. Specific Skills: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a manner which is clear, fluent, persuasive, non- judgmental and which enhances professional credibility. Ability to assimilate, analyse and interpret highly complex information and to summarise key issues clearly and concisely. Ability to manage sensitive and contentious information and situations with compassion and integrity Evidence of ability to act as a role model for staff and advocate best practice across the organisation which promotes equality, fairness, dignity and respect and embraces diversity. Ability (supported by experience) to develop and deliver training / learning / coaching interventions to managers on a range of People related best practices / subjects.
