International Payroll & Global Mobility Specialist

Oakleaf have partnered with a well known global business in the heart of the city- who are looking for a specialist to join them and lead the Payroll and mobility piece within the business.

The purpose of this role is to provide specialist payroll support across a number of new international locations and expertise to support international expansion activities, along with a focus on expat payroll

The role will also involve the coordination of key Global Mobility.

Duties

- Onboarding New Locations to International ('Rest of World') Payroll ·

- Work with vendor on contract changes for new location

- Plan project and timelines with vendors

- Define change management requirements

- Define project requirements (for example Time Off and Expenses requirements per location, legal entity set up considerations, mechanism to deliver payments to employees)

- Define payroll calendar with vendor

- Work with current vendor to gather YTD values, work with vendor to load and test YTD values

- Collect and load absence balances if using Time Off Performance & Delivery

Payroll Duties

- Load all data changes for locations where we do not have an automated interface

- Be first point of contact for employee payroll queries.

-Approve monthly payroll register sent over by vendor

- Attend monthly sessions with the vendor to discuss performance Performance & Delivery

- Global Expat support activities: · Global compensation collection coordination for Year End tax filing

- Coordination of shadow/modified payroll activities for inbound assignees

- Request funding and make payments to host tax authorities related to tax returns

- Coordinate expatriate payroll audit / health check activities Performance & Delivery

- Short-Term Business Visitor (STBV) support activities

- Support STBV reporting activities and related company tax submissions (working with the company-appointed external tax provider)

- Compensation collection activities for STBV reporting

- Review of monthly Global travel tracking reports (employment tax) and coordination of follow-up activities People & Teams

Experience

- End-to-end global payroll processes and expat payroll complexities - Strong understanding of global mobility compensation structures and compliance considerations for globally mobile employees

- Good knowledge of payroll systems or similar HRIS systems
