People Manager, Public Sector, East Suffolk, £36k - £41k + excellent benefits


Your new company

Your new organisation is a passionate and collaborative, top-ranking public-sector organisation based in Eastern Suffolk. They are driven by core values of transformation, improvement and community. They are seeking a People Manager to work closely with the Director of People and Wellbeing, to lead a team, and to provide an outstanding service.

Your new role

The main responsibility of your role will be to operationally lead the People and Wellbeing Team to provide an outstanding HR provision across the organisation, providing credible and reliable HR advice. To continue to develop suitable business practises that sustain cultures and deliver sustainability.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the HR function with a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, whilst being an ambassador for the organisational values and ensuring they are upheld
  • Lead and manage the team in effect HR services across the end-to-end employee life cycle
  • Ensure the organisations visions and values are reflected in all practises
  • Assist in the delivery of HR projects, strategy and QIPs to enable success in aims and objectives of the organisation
  • Interpreting and advising on employment legislation to ensure best practise


This is a full-time position working 35 hours a week between the hours of 9 and 5 . The weekly working structure is 4 days in office with the ability to work from home 1 day a week.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed, you will need to be a Member of CIPD and evidence continuous personal growth. You will ideally have some management experience, or equally a desire and drive to take this next step in your career. You will be required to have at least three years' experience of providing successful HR advice. You must have a commitment to raising standards and ED&I and an understanding of the importance of outstanding mentoring. To comprehend data and put action plans into practise, you must demonstrate analytical ability.
