This individual acts as the UK Talent Development subject matter expert and drives the delivery of learning and development and talent development initiatives to enable a high performance culture..

The role operates across the UK, working closely with the Corporate Centre of Excellence, to actively identify, design and deliver best practice in talent management

Description

The key responsibilities of the Talent Development Manager are:

  • Delivering and implementing global talent processes and practices covering areas such as for talent identification and development, performance management, global development programmes
  • Act as a partner and advisor to the business, developing tailored talent solutions and embedding talent practices and a high performance mindset
  • Creating, developing and maintaining a suite of development activities and tools for all UK employees, including:
    • Office leadership and management development
    • Succession planning and talent pipeline planning
    • Individual development and career planning
    • Personality and behavioural assessment - including 360 degree feedback
    • Mentoring and coaching
  • Coach employees, managers, and leaders in the areas of performance management, career development, and supervisory/management skills
  • Facilitate internal meetings/committees on Office Talent development and talent processes with Senior Management
  • Develop and support delivery of early careers programmes such as UK Graduate and apprentice programmes
  • Support implementation of strategic initiatives and provide guidance and coaching to employees and managers to ensure adoption
  • Promote the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities, and timely performance feedback
  • Work closely with UK Inclusion Council on D, E & I initiatives
  • Oversee the annual training plan, Training budget and training agenda to support business strategy
  • Work with Government training body (ECITB) to consult on industry skills and utilise the government training levy and grants

Profile

The successful Talent Development Manager should be:

  • Passionate about people development with the ability to influence and engage others
  • Solid experience in a specialist talent development role with the ability to drive continuous improvement
  • Experience of Training design & delivery
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and collaboration
  • Strategic thinking and ability to focus priorities
  • Solid understanding of operating in a multi geographical, complex, matrixed business environment
  • The ability to build and manage relationships across all levels of seniority, developing trust and credibility with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills for audiences of all levels and sizes
  • Demonstrable commercial awareness and experience
  • A confident presence with strong leadership ability, advisory and influencing skills and able to challenge candidly
  • Proactive, creative and with a clear sense of accountability
  • Broad understanding of HR data analytics and HR reporting
  • Remain up to date with learning and development; knowledge of how we can maximise the use of digital, technology, and the way we use data to inform plans
  • Educational or professional qualifications in Organizational Development, Organizational Learning and Development, Psychology, HR, Business, or related field
  • Knowledge of adult learning techniques and broad knowledge of the talent development industry
  • Knowledge of technologies used in the delivery of training programs
  • Certified/qualified/experienced in the analysis and interpretation of psychometric test results

Job Offer

The Talent Development Manager will receive:

  • Salary up to £65k
  • 12 month FTC
  • Hybrid working
