Macmillan Davies are currently supporting a well-established and commercial provider of Education in to the Professional services arena in their search for a HR Business Partner.

About the role

The role, based out of Manchester and operating in a hybrid pattern will require an experienced HR Business Partner to join an existing team and take responsibility for the Organisation's largest customer group as they grow and expand.

Reporting to the Head of HR your role will ask you to:

* Proactively coach, influence and support leaders in your business unit to achieve their vision and goals by providing expert people management advice and solutions
* Develop and deliver HR related training to improve the competencies and management expertise of managers
* Work proactively with the L&D team with identifying training needs, designing and delivering sessions to improve line manager capability
* Lead, coach and develop an HR Advisor, ensuring ER cases and issues across business units are being dealt with effectively
* Deal effectively with any complex HR queries or cases
* Support operational restructures and change programmes using HR best practice
* Lead or support on a variety of people related projects
* Operate as the business expert for your designated business areas, collaborating and sharing information with relevant HR Teams on issues as they arise (HR Systems, Reward, Payroll, Recruitment and Learning & Development)
About you

We're hoping to attract a skilled generalist with ability to support a growing Organisation who can demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

* Holding everybody accountable for great behaviour, including yourself
* Working with integrity and taking a proactive approach to solving issues
* A passion for and a solid understanding of diversity and inclusion
* Highly developed and practical Employment Law and ER knowledge
* Significant experience leading on complex disciplinary, performance and grievance cases
* Excellent influencing skills and the ability to build effective relationships quickly at senior level, to gain trust, credibility and confidence
* Significant demonstrable experience in Organisational Change & Re-structures

What the working week looks like
A hybrid approach to the week will be a mixture of (easily commutable) office and work from home. There may be a need for some occasional travel
