Job Details


The successful HR Officer will assist the HR Director in ensuring excellent customer service and compliance across all recruitment areas and safeguarding training across the entire business.

Description

Reporting to the Director of HR the successful HR Officer will either have or be working towards CIPD Level 3 and will:

  • Have demonstrable experience delivering a high quality HR service in a busy environment
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of safer recruitment and regulatory compliance and delivering induction training
  • Liaise with and advise all candidates, agencies and internal stakeholders on the safer recruitment process
  • Increase recruitment activity via job boards and other social media resources and be the first point of contact for potential applicants
  • Assist with the updating and issue of safer recruitment documentation in line with regulatory requirements
  • Proactively respond to day-to-day HR issues
  • Support the HR Director with payroll matters for starters, leavers and contract variations
  • Ensure that all internal and external reporting requirements are satisfied through the provision of management information and HR returns
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current employment law
  • Create and assist with an induction schedule for new hires
  • Work with the Designated Safeguarding Lead, create the annual Safeguarding Training
    Calendar, monitoring and updating it throughout the year

Profile

The successful HR Officer will:

  • Be CIPD Level 3 or working towards the qualification
  • Experience working in the education sector and dealt with Ofsted
  • Proven recruitment experience including safer recruitment compliance
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Have up to date knowledge of UK employment law
  • Be motivated, passionate and driven to deliver a high level of support and service
