This opportunity is ideal for someone who is able to fulfill the role of a senior leader who thinks differently and is always looking for a solution to deliver the Council’s objectives. Whether you are from a public or commercial background, you will have the opportunity to bring enthusiasm and the desire to build a high-performance culture that constantly seeks to improve what your team and the organisation is doing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of an effective HR service including:

  • all aspects of recruitment,
  • absence management,
  • performance management; and
  • employee relations, handling issues such as disciplinary and capability concerns.

You should have an appropriate Human Resources (HR) qualification such as the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and experience of working in a HR function at a senior level. The ability to converse at ease with senior officers and to provide advice in fluent English is essential in this post.

Interviews will take place week commencing 12 December 2022.
