Oakleaf North are excited to be partnered with a global banking organisation in hiring a HR Project and Programme Manager based in Glasgow. This role will form part of the HR Optimisation team who offer a range of services delivering and embedding change within the HR function, and supporting business transformation more broadly. As a Project Manager this role will support the HR Lead, Director across a variety of HR projects/workstreams, namely supporting the current HR Transformation programme impacting colleagues across HR and the broader organisation. This role will partner with senior stakeholders across multiple parts of HR, and across the Group more broadly.

This opportunity is open to flexible working and will require two days working in the office and two days working from home. Salary up to £87,000.

  • The role holder will be responsible for managing a range of HR activities as part of a large scale, complex and strategic programmes, working with multiple HR areas (transaction cycles).
  • Undestand the business case for the programme taking into account information on benefits, costs, risks, resources and timescales.
  • Ensures that sufficient level of detail and integration occurs across the projects and quality plans are prepared and maintained, ensuring regular and accurate reports on progress against plan to stakeholders, as appropriate through collaboration with the project leads.
  • Identifies, assesses and manages project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies, escalating as appropriate via the agreed governance framework, in collaboration with project leads.
  • Understands the scope of projects, ensuring that rigorous change control is exercised.
  • Providing detailed and robust reporting to key stakeholders and Project Forums and in addition, where required, writing programme updates to be delivered to the programme leadership team, the HR ExCo and other interested parties.
  • Monitor actual performance against overall project deliverables and take remedial actions.
  • Establish and run Working Groups or Programme Forum (as appropriate) e.g. HR TC Lead WG.
  • Ensures project meet the desired requirements of Accountable Executives and that acceptance and handover to business as usual are managed (as appropriate).
  • Assure that all project status reporting is accurate, informative and timely.
  • Oversee and support the Change Management project ensuring, impacts assessment, training/communication activities are fit for purpose, in collaboration with the project lead.
  • Ensures projects being managed are compliant with relevant HR Optimisation framework governance methodologies.
  • Ensure sufficient level of flexibility and tolerance provided to tackle complex nature of project. Maintaining control of exceptions outside tolerance.
