HR Partnering Manager

Oakleaf PArtnership are currently recruiting for a HR Partnering Manager on behalf of our Client who are a well known Rail/Transport Company.

This role is a full time, permanent opportunity working on a hybrid model of 2/3 days in their Birmingham based office.

Job Purpose:

The role leads a team of HR Business Partners who advise and enable colleagues and line managers on the professional aspects of HR including management of employees, HR policy and process, and legal implications or complex cases which ensures that the organisation has excellent management of its employees and strong employee relations. This role therefore operates in a complex matrix of HR leadership to ensure that the team is at the right capacity and capability level, the team is preforming as expected, and the integration across the HR function is being well managed.

Key Experience & Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that all advice, support and influence for customers on HR policies and procedures, employment legislation and terms and conditions of employment ensure that they remain within the legislative framework and follow good practice.
  • To ensure that the entire caseload of Employee Relations (ER) including discipline, grievance, absence, probation and performance management, issues (end to end), is delivered within organisational requirements.
  • Ownership of all relevant team KPIs, including accountability for achievement within team and provision of required reporting.
  • Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.
  • Ability to produce and present information to a variety of stakeholders , with the ability to advise managers/employees of all levels, deliver difficult messages and draft accurate and detailed correspondence.
  • Stakeholder management skills - including advising line managers on all aspects of HR
  • Experience of using and interpreting HR policies and procedures and use of best practice within employment legislation and conditions of service.
  • Experience of managing complex employee relations issues
  • Experience of HR project work including change projects and HR development

This role comes with a starting salary of up to £55,000 per annum depending upon experience, Plus other company benefits.
