Onboarding (HR) Team Leader


Hays HR are currently supporting a client in Leeds to recruit an additional person within their onboarding team to manage a team of onboarding and referencing assistants.

Reporting to the Operations Manager and working as part of a team of Onboarding Team Leaders, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality service to the business - ensuring the onboarding process for senior stakeholders is communicated well in an efficient and punctual manner.

You will work closely with HR & the Talent Acquisition team, proactively engaging with and manage stakeholder relationships, delivering a professional service that results in the successful onboarding of high calibre staff.

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivery of successful referencing processes for everyone within your dedicated business area
  • Ensuring team SLA's are achieved and complex cases or risks are identified, investigated, and escalated
  • Ensuring all onboarding meets the companies set compliance standards
  • Team Leader responsibilities including supporting knowledge, performance, training, and efficiencies for your team
  • Continuously looking to improve ways or working and identify solutions to support the overall service delivery


To be successful in this role you will need:

  • This role would suit applicants from HR, Recruitment, Compliance or Referencing background
  • The ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Experience of delivering against SLA's or targets through others
  • The ability to work to tight timeframes and manage multiple projects with conflicting timescales
  • Strong IT skills - proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and an aptitude for inhouse systems
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • A flexible approach and be able to work well within a dynamic and changeable business environment
