Working for a SME Management Consultancy based in London City.

Your new role

This role is responsible for running HR across the EMEA region for a headcount of 90, running end to end employee life cycle. You will have 1 direct line report of a HR Coordinator.

  • Responsible for the end-to-end life cycle of employees and independent contractors
  • Keep up to date with employment legislation in each country the Company operates in
  • Responsible for the management of all employee related matters including but not limited to all absences and transfers
  • Review of contracts of employment and contractor agreements
  • Responsible for the implementation and management of any legislative requirements for the local office/region, such as training interviews and privacy law
  • Project management
  • Occasional translations and writing of documents in French and dealing with French authorities, as and when required.
  • Standing in for HR Coordinator during absence
  • Employee Relations - Responsible for the effective management of all employee relation issues in the region, liaising with senior stakeholders, including direct negotiations with employee's solicitors.
  • Germany/France: Ensure the smooth running of the Work Council or equivalent as needed.
  • Payroll and benefits - In conjunction with the Payroll Manager, responsible for the accuracy and timely run of the European and UK payrolls
  • Immigration and transfers - Manage visa and immigration requirements for the local office/regions, including liaising with external lawyers on complex cases.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Recent permanent employee experience operating as a HR Manager
  • Languages: business-level English and French are a must; another European language is of advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and ideally, of French and German laws (at the very least, an understanding of French and German laws)
  • Experience of managing complex ER and immigration cases
  • Degree in HR Management, preferably CIPD qualified, level 7, or equivalent
