HR Administrator | £21,000 - £25,000 DOE | Permanent | Manchester City Centre | Based in office 4 days a week

Successful, professional services organisation based in Manchester City Centre, currently seeking a HR Administrator to join their established HR team. A great opportunity for an experienced Administrator, with an interest in HR, that wants to build upon their experience and knowledge and make a great contribution to a growing legal firm.

Your New Role

Within your new role you will support the HR team in relation to a range of HR related tasks and responsibilities.

You will be a capable individual with the ability to learn quickly and a passion to develop a career in the Human Resources space. It is essential you have strong administration skills, paired with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Some of your main responsibilities will consist of;

  • Providing administrative support to enable the effective delivery of HR's operational activities, including the:

  • recruitment of experienced hires
  • answering of people process/policy queries
  • maintenance of people records/HRIS data
  • onboarding and induction of new starters
  • processing of leavers
  • processing of reference requests, changes and promotions
  • provision of monthly information to payroll
  • co-ordinating reward and recognition

    • Assisting with the administrative aspects of annual activities/assessments such as pay and bonus review, engagement surveys and professional accreditations as well as ad hoc projects and improvement initiatives.
    • Monitoring the HR mailbox - being the first point of contact for general HR-related queries, answering or escalating to others in the team, as appropriate.

    What You Need to Succeed

    • Administration skills - strong admin skills, highly competent in using business software such as Microsoft Office with a high level of attention to detail.
    • Organisational skills - personal efficiency, time management skills and the ability to flex, adapt and prioritise competing demands.
    • Communication skills - excellent interpersonal and 'customer'-facing skills, both written and verbal
    • Teamwork - proactive team player who understands the importance of communicating with their team to help manage workflow efficiently and effectively.
    • Professional integrity - able to work with data, individuals and managers on confidential people matters discreetly
    • Professional relationships - warm, friendly, and able to build relationships and collaborate with others effectively, whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
