Description

Reporting in to the Head of Business Partnering, the HR Business Partner will;

  • Build and sustain effective, trusted relationships with the executive directors and their senior leaders, working in partnership to develop and influence the strategic people plan to support both the specific business area requirements and the wider business objectives
  • Work in partnership with the executive directors and senior leaders to identify opportunities to lead and deliver on transformation and change initiatives across the business. To create business improvement and cost efficiencies
  • Lead the development of a High Performance culture across the business
  • Increase colleague and leadership development of 'what good looks like'
  • Proactively review people related performance and design/provide the necessary interventions and development plans to create a culture of continuous improvement
  • Act as a confidante and consultant to the executive directors and senior leaders, using informal and formal coaching methods, to support their personal and team development to bring about a culture of high performance.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, advice, feedback and challenge to the executive directors on the leadership of their teams
  • Influence and challenge executive directors andsenior leaders to shape and bring to life the culture of inclusion across directorates, supportingthe overall D&I business strategy, promoting an open and trusting environment where people feel safe to bethemselves
  • Act as a Talent Manager with the executive directors andsenior leaders, carrying out all activities consistently with a focus on achieving organisational priorities
  • Maximise succession planning, and building recruitment and retention strategies to minimise risk
  • Provide strategic input within the business to identify opportunities to design, drive and deliver changes in climate and how we maximise our engagement,creating a great place to work
  • Use expert skills across a number of psychometric testing methods for leadership development across the business
  • Enhance personal development plans and the overall leadership capability across the business
  • Analyse and report on monthly HRMI providing insight and recommendations of actions to deliver against company and directorate specific people KPI's to support with bench marking and the development of people plans and solutions across all directorates
  • Work in partnership with the Head of Talent and Head of Reward & Pension, utilising the specialist knowledge to support the delivery of business and people agendas and initiatives across the business
  • Act as a coach and mentor to the HR Advisor team providing expert advice and support on complex disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance management cases. To manage complex, high profile cases with the appropriate senior leaders
  • Be the HR lead on various projects/working groups, internally and externally to support business objectives,influencing the key stakeholders to ensure the people strategy is reflected in all decision and actions taken.

Profile

The ideal candidate will be operating at strategic HR Business Partner level, and have demonstrable experience of partnering on the people strategy with Senior and Executive stakeholders, shaping the people agenda, succession planning, and organisational change

The candidate must be driven and results-focused, and ideally have experience in a unionised environment

Job Offer

A salary of up to £60,000 plus car allowance, bonus and benefits

The role is offered on a hybrid basis, and is flexible on site location across the Northwest. The role has a regional remit so the candidate must be able to travel when required
