Oakleaf Partnership are looking for an HR Advisor to join a growing Manchester client within the FinTech industry. The role is generalist and joins a small but well-established team. There is a strong focus on policy review and implementation, engagement and other projects. The role is based at their offices in the City Centre and they offer hybrid working.

Day to day duties include:

  • Building relationships with managers and employees and advising on policies, practices and procedures
  • Delivering lifecycle approach to talent management, driving continuous improvement
  • Onboarding of employees including pre-employment checks, offer letters
  • Managing inductions, probation and performance management
  • Supporting development and movement of talent within the business
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders
  • Coaching and advising on employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance.
  • Maintaining HR databases and producing reports and analytics
  • Managing and maintaining employee contracts, files and other data in line with GDPR.
  • Supporting and developing the people agenda including wellbeing strategies, people policies and procedures, events etc.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Previous experience within an HR generalist role
  • Background in financial services beneficial not essential
  • Good knowledge of employment law
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships with people at all levels
  • Computer literacy with MS Office and in-house systems
  • CIPD Level 5 desirable or working towards qualification
