IT Category Manager Role- Salary of £55,000- £60,000- Hybrid Working

Your new company
The selected candidate will act as the centre of responsibility on all Procurement & Supply chain activities across the Trust. The candidate will manage the provision of goods and services to all departments (clinical and non clinical) whilst contracting with several suppliers and stakeholders daily.


Your new role

  • Responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing procurement
    strategies for allocated categories, through detailed demand/market analysis and a
    recognised Strategic Sourcing process, to ensure continual improvement and innovation in
    service delivery to the Services.
  • Undertake procurement for high value, detailed contracts whilst being able to develop evaluation methods and interpretation thereof.
  • Working with the Contract Management team to maximise contract compliance across all Services.
  • Ensuring projects are managed effectively to ensure the savings within the Services are delivered in line with the work plan.
  • Innovate and initiate project work with clinicians and nursing staff and/or corporate heads. Be able to lead project teams, working to challenge and change the status quo, determining optimum cost and benefit outcomes to ensure that change is delivered.
  • Be able to negotiate contracts with suppliers.


What you'll need to succeed

  • MCIPS qualified or working towards
  • Experience working in NHS/ Public Sector
  • Experience in producing/understanding business plans, reports and contracts.
  • Have experience working in complex negotiation and contract work
  • Knowledge of commercial and contract law
