We have a unique opportunity for a Part Time HR Advisor across the South Coast working for a Charity


We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor for a fixed term contract until August - part time 28 hours to support a national charity working across sites throughout the South Coast.

You will be working for a well recognised and inspiring faith-based charities which provides specialist support to vulnerable people across the South Coast with sites in Portsmouth, Isle of Wight, Bournemouth and Southampton. (flexible on travel) As an HR Advisor you will be supporting the South Regional Team in, ensuring the consistent delivery of HR strategy, initiatives and policies, by educating and empowering local managers.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, as our customer-focused, driven and resilient HR Advisor, you will inspire a culture of clear accountability, high engagement and exemplary performance. You will ensure the delivery of service level agreements and will expertly advise and assist on areas such as workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations and absence management - minimising risk, identifying problem areas, and recommending corrective action.

  • Challenge, coach and mentor local management to engage and develop employee capability and behaviours in line with the organisations mission and values
  • Working as part of a team providing high level HR advice and guidance on complex Employee Relations cases
  • Support the development and implementation of all HR policies and practices in order to provide consistency across the organisation and deliver training on same
  • Support managers on a one to one basis to carry out HR related processes such as recruitment, absence management, performance management
  • Deputise for the HR Business Partner in their absence, support and work closely with the HRBP on a day to day basis by taking an active lead on all operational duties


Candidates
Were seeking an experienced HR Advisor / Senior HR Advisor with a solid HR & ER generalist background

  • Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
  • Experience of successfully advising and coaching line managers on HR issues, up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and codes of practice, and experience of recruitment, selection and interviewing
  • Experience of employee relations casework and of delivering HR training
  • Experience of managing TUPE
  • Ability to work within the Christian ethos charity

The role is offered on a fixed term contract basis initially up to August
  • 28 hours per week / flexible 4 days or over 5 to be agreed with manager
  • This role is peripatetic in nature with a requirement for some travel to sites throughout the South Coast and surrounding areas (including Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight), combined with home working. Occasional travel to regional and Head Offices in London is required.
  • Expenses will be paid for travel
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata for part-time); a contributory pension scheme; an employee assistance programme
