My client is a dynamic and innovative Manchester based firm that is looking for a Head of HR Shared Services to lead a People Operations function.
Reporting into the Chief People Officer this is a newly created role due to rapid headcount growth alongside evolution of the HR team and HR strategy. Managing a team of three the position has accountability for the leadership and delivery of a customer centric end to end HR Administration service for c.2,800 in the UK spread across four principal sites. This team will grow as you develop and build the function and expand its accountability.
They are looking for an experienced HR professional who can own and lead the function and in turn design and deliver effective HR processes and procedures, and importantly also get involved and contribute to what is a fun and collaborative working culture. As the People Operations Manager, you will lead the People Services team and proactively role model customer service to create a culture of excellence across the customer experience. As this is a new position and function within the HR team, you will play a key part in both operationally running and establishing HR Shared Services. You will ensure that all administrative tasks, policies, processes, and process improvements are being designed, developed, and executed accurately and effectively. As such the team is responsible for all day-to-day HR queries, escalating more complex queries as appropriate, across the full employee lifecycle to include areas such as recruitment support, contracts, and onboarding; contractual changes; and promotions.
To be successful in this role you would have worked within an HR Operations/HR Shared Services environment. You would have been involved in the set-up of a new team that delivers service to a business or function and be an experienced leader who is able to coach individuals/teams for high performance. You will understand the importance of the employee experience, relationship management and role model an excellent customer service mindset in an HR service environment. You understand and are experienced in the operational delivery of HR Shared Services and can demonstrate strong delivery against performance targets set. You will be self-motivated and resilient and able to embrace change, influence and make commercial decisions while working with a can-do attitude and understand how the activities within HR services will impact the wider organisation. Experience gained within Financial Services is highly desirable.
