Title: Assistant Director, HR Business Partnering

We are the City of whatever we make it…

A career with the City of London Corporation is a career like no other. We are based at the heart of one the most advanced and fast-paced cities in the world, with at least 900 years of history. Our jurisdiction may be the Square Mile, but our influence and reach stretches across the capital, the country, and the world. Our circa 4,000 employees oversee a diverse portfolio of services, operations and assets, from bridges and parks to cultural assets and markets to our many exceptional city buildings. We are a catalyst for growth, an engine for economic development, a custodian of the city’s history and culture and a local authority for our residents.

You will be joining at the perfect time to demonstrate the difference you can make.  Our target operating model builds new foundations and ways of working to enable us to fulfil our aims and vision.  This is your chance to help shape the future of the City of London Corporation at a time when our role has never been more important.

We are successfully re-shaping our HR leadership team and this post is the final piece of the jigsaw.

Are you ready to join our Human Resources leadership team, create new solutions and help power our transformation?

As Assistant Director, HR Business Partnering, you’ll have the opportunity to use your expertise in HR business partnering to shape a service that engages and develops meaningful relationships with key people and teams across the organisation.  Adding value wherever they go, your HR Business Partners will create solutions based on a deep understanding of our culture, demographics and ambitions. Reporting to the Chief People Officer & Executive Director, Human Resources, this is your chance to work at the most senior levels in the Corporation, building organisational and people capability that powers our transformation.  Succeed and you will have developed a service that proactively delivers business relevant solutions to meet our changing needs.

We are an organisation where people value you and your opinion, and you’ll be working with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, and bringing different experiences.  We strive hard to create a sense of community and culture, where you’ll feel a sense of belonging.  All our people enjoy access to staff networks, numerous training and development opportunities, a focus on well-being and work-life balance, as well as a range of attractive benefits.

We are committed to creating a working environment that is inclusive and treats all employees fairly and with dignity and respect.  We are determined to take action to tackle discrimination in all its forms and help bring about positive changes in our organisation and our City.

The City of London Corporation is a Disability Confident Employer.  An applicant with a disability who meets the essential criteria for the job (with a reasonable adjustment where appropriate) will be invited to the assessment centre/interview.

The closing date for applications is Monday 30th January 2023.
