A fantastic opportunity to be the first senior operational HR hire in this market leading manufacturing business.

Our client, are a global Japanese owned manufacturing business with over 3000 employees. This rare opportunity to have regional responsibility within UK & EMEA region. Working 2-3 days per week in their UK HQ in London.

In this newly created position, you will play a pivotal role in the development of policy creation, people strategy and hands on team development.

Your remit:

  • Reporting to the Human Capital & Talent Development Director you will partner closely to understand the business and support management to achieve and overcharge goals of the business
  • Elevate the HR function such that it becomes a key strategic contributor to the achievement of the company's business objectives.
  • Create innovative, workable strategies to identify and overcome barriers, e.g., identify root-cause issues of change blockers; coaching managers on appropriate tactics to mitigate/overcome issues.
  • Lead the execution of change management processes to encourage employees to embrace new company initiatives.
  • Lead value-adding HR management activities including talent management initiatives & mobility frameworks, succession planning, Group reorganizational and restructuring plans.
  • Oversee the execution of annual performance reviews and talent development initiatives

This role requires a hands on senior HR professional that thrives in both a strategic and operational role. A true influencer that can have value adding impact in a short space of time but create scalable solutions including identifying process improvement opportunities and elevating the teams systems and offering.

About you:

  • Proven HR Generalist experience.
  • Solid knowledge of UK Employment Law
  • Although not essential, would be advantageous to have had prior experience of working with multinational Japanese company
  • Culturally & emotionally intelligent, highly proactive with an open-minded and progressive mindset
  • Experience with talent development initiatives and international mobility programmes
  • Strong collaboration skills allied to an ability to build and manage cross-functional relationships
