Job Details

Based at the Bradford site this role will be a business partner to the site senior leadership teams and will focus on connecting HR services to business needs. The role will also look at the people aspect of the site growth strategies ensuring that the people structures, skills and motivation are such that the sites will succeed in their aims.
Whilst supporting the overall site strategies this role will also focus on day-to-day operations, therefore there is a real need to have a hands on approach.
Principle Accountabilities
- Shape and deliver the HR plan to ensure site and manufacturing performance levels are achieved. This will be delivered by working closely with the site senior leadership teams whilst being mindful of the Group business requirements.
- Support the Head of HR in translating the functional strategy into plans and actions to achieve department/site objectives.
- Provide the HR lead in terms of strategic and tactical expertise to the sites' senior leadership teams.
- Provide HR support as required to business improvement and growth projects across sites.
- Support the annual wage negotiation process with the site General Manager and site leadership teams as required.
- Through effective implementation of policies and procedures ensure the consistency of HR controls across the sites is maintained and best practice is achieved.
- In conjunction with the Head of HR, from an HR perspective support the site HR teams in delivering strategic change programmes and Group HR projects which impact the sites, as required.
- Promote Company values within the departments/sites through the appropriate operation of systems, policies and working practices.
- Using appropriate mechanisms coordinate all aspects of the employee life-cycle to ensure new and developing talent is managed within the sites.
- Implement the training and development strategy in line with company requirements; site accredited standards and site visions.
- Ensure the basics of HR are in place and firmly adhered to so that standards are maintained and policy and procedure is followed.
- Ensure all outputs from the HR teams are delivered to the right specification and to the correct standards as deemed by the business.
- Facilitates a culture of high standards, team work and learning, with clear accountabilities and ownership.
- Promotes the highest levels of motivation, demonstrating effective leadership and communication.
Role Requirements Knowledge
- Experienced HR professional preferably at a HRBP/HR Manager level
- Experience of working within a Manufacturing/FMCG environment and working with Trade Unions
- Significant employee relations experience
- Significant experience of managing and implementing change
- Chartered MCIPD qualified
