HR Advisor, Specialist Service Provider, Ipswich, £30,000-35,000 + excellent benefits

Your new company
Your new organisation - a specialist service provider, is hiring for a new position within the office team. Reporting into the HR Manager and supporting the HR Project Lead, they are looking for a dynamic, ambitious, and opportunistic HR Advisor to drive the function. Based within their office just North of Ipswich, you will provide a consistent HR service to all stakeholders within the business (c100 headcount).

This role is served over 40 hours, between 8:30-5:00pm.

This organisation, established over 80 years ago, holds a traditional family feel, with excellent synergy across the organisation and a people driven agenda- developing further through the introduction of key and exciting projects.

This role is perfect for an established HR Advisor, who is looking for greater autonomy, a function to make their own, and an opportunity to professionally develop.

Your new role
Within your new role, you will work across the generalist remit supporting all levels of staff, across multiple sites. Your duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • HR Admin - recording and updating all personnel information and supporting managers to utilise reports and statistics to improve efficiency.
  • Recruitment - taking ownership of the recruitment function, reviewing and developing job specs alongside managers, identifying skills required, and carrying out end-to-end recruitment processes up to interview support, offer letters, and onboarding.
  • Employee Relations: providing guidance and advice to managers as required and supporting disciplinaries, grievances and monitoring absence.
  • Appraisals: Supporting managers in the development and provision of annual appraisals.
  • Assisting with policy reviews and projects as required, inclusive of appraisal evaluation, reward, organisational design and pay reviews.
  • Assisting with training and upskilling in line with requirements.
  • Processing starter and leaver documentation, inclusive of apprenticeships.
  • Supporting Occupational Health service
  • Any other reasonable requests inclusive of role expectations.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, it is fundamental that you are dynamic, ambitious, self starter- with a passion for people, great adaptability, and both proactive and self-organised. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and hold, or be working towards, or holding your CIPD level 5.

You will be able to take ownership of your own remit, and have strong analytical and problem solving skills.

You will ideally have project experience, and have experience in reviewing and developing policies.
