The EDI Business Partner is a new role for our museum and will form part of our small and friendly HR team. Working closely with the Chief Officer People and Culture, the EDI Business Partner will help to shape our next EDI strategy, as well as working more widely with various key stakeholders across the museum on implementing the new strategy and associated streams of work.

The role will also be responsible for taking forward and implementing our Race Equity Action Plan, which is one of the outputs of our collaborative research project with the Research Centre for Museums and Galleries at The University of Leicester.

We’re looking for someone who has experience working within the EDI arena who has a passion for making a difference. You will need to be a self-starter, able to manage and prioritise multiple work streams at the same time. A thorough understanding of EDI best practice and being able to work collaboratively with others is essential.

It’s a fascinating time to join the museum as we move towards the opening of our new museum in West Smithfield, reinventing what it means to be a city museum for the twenty-first century. Our new EDI Business Partner role has the potential to bring about some really positive change for the museum.
