HR Advisor/Covering South Wales/Private Sector/Salary £33,990 + Benefits/WFH with Travel 2/3 days a week.

Hays HR are proud to recruit a HR Advisor for our Private Sector client who offer professional nursing, residential and dementia care for the elderly. The successful candidate will provide high quality ER / HR support and advice to Home Managers and Area Directors in a focused way. To support the HR Manager and the operational teams to deliver the Business' vision and mission.

Your new role
*Act as the initial point of contact in your Group for all ER issues, providing high quality ER / HR support and advice to Home Managers ensuring all colleagues are managed fairly and consistently across the business.
*Act as a liaison between colleagues and managers to prevent escalation of HR issues and assist in resolutions.
*Provide proactive and pragmatic ER support to Home Managers regarding their understanding and interpretation of HR policies and practices.
*Provide coaching and guidance to line managers on all aspects of ER policies and practices at the point of calling.
*Attend Homes within Group to support with ER issues and provide coaching and guidance on HR policy and practice to Home management team.
*Work closely with the Regional HRM to ensure advice is provided in a timely manner by the appropriate person. *Work with the Regional HRM to actively manage to closure all ER cases in the Group within reasonable timescales.
*Support Home Managers with LTS cases, advising on actions to reduce length of absence and escalating to the Regional HRM at an appropriate stage.
*Escalate complex ER case management to the Regional HRM who will then provide continuity of support. - Collate weekly MI on all suspensions and on long terms sickness cases.
*Provide administrative support to the HRM's in respect of documentation for ER cases.
*Collaborate closely with the Regional HRBP and Regional HRM to provide high quality and consistent HR support to all colleagues and managers in the Group to support company strategy.
*Create and maintaining accurate records of all calls received and advice given.
*Maintain accurate and timely records and ensure all HR cases are logged appropriately.
*Identify and report themes and trends to Regional HRBP and HRM that emerge from case work and queries.
*Contribute to the continuous improvement and updating of HR policies and procedures in line with current employment legislation.
*Ensure that all personal and departmental deadlines are met.
*Promote a professional image of the Company at all times.
*Ensure personal conduct upholds the Company Equal Opportunities policy.

What you'll need to succeed

*CIPD qualified to Level 3 or working towards CIPD qualification.
*Strong working understanding of Employment Law & HR 'best practice'
*Knowledge of relevant HR policies and procedures and best practice on ER
*Strong working knowledge of ER issues such as, Discipline, Grievance, Suspensions, Performance Improvement and Sickness absence.
*Commercially focused approach
*At least 2 years' experience in providing ER advice on a range of cases to line managers
*Experience of supporting the admin preparation for ET claims.
*Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
*Excellent customer service skills.
*IT literate to include the use of Microsoft Office Ability to prioritise and plan time effectively.
*Working to tight deadlines whilst responding to last minute changes within these.
*Ability to analyse management information to drive decision making.
*Experience of working remotely
