Your new role
Reporting to the Head of HR Partnering, this role will be responsible for:
- Leading on the resolution of a back-log of ER cases covering complex disciplinary, long-term absence, and complex health
- Work closely with managers, supporting them through the ER process (from initiation to tribunal, where necessary) and advising on relevant employment law and ER best practice
- Advise and mentor HR Advisors (2) on ER best practice
- Support Head of HR Partnering with updating relevant policies and processes
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for the fixed-term role, you will have:
- Extensive experience managing complex ER cases, with experience and tribunal/litigation stage
- Ideally experience within a higher education institute, or other public sector organisation
- Excellent stakeholder management experience, with evidence of supporting managers at all levels with ER cases
- Experience working with trade unions is desirable, but not essential.
What you'll get in return
This 6 month fixed-term contract is offering a salary of up to £49,800 (pro rata) and will be a hybrid working role with 2-3 days per week from the institutes office near Russell Square.
