I am delighted to share that my client, a leading property services provider is on the search for a Head of HR Shared Services to join their dynamic team on a 12 Month Fixed-Term basis. This role will be leading the HR Shared Service function that delivers against its operational objectives and strategically grows it service in line with the wider Group HR Strategy.

You will be proactive and delivery-focused whilst inspiring a department to develop a culture of continuous improvement and customer centricity.


  • Lead the HR Shared Service function to deliver professional HR Shared Services across the Group, to meet the needs of the business in the most cost effective, value adding manner possible
  • Monitor the performance of the operational teams against Service Level Agreements and compliance with agreed HR processes and provide analysis and insight to the Director of HR Service Operations, to influence the key priorities and agree actions required
  • To ensure that standards of service continuously improve to better meet the needs of the business whilst complying with internal process and legislative requirements
  • To ensure all key stakeholders and specific initiatives are landed in a timely and effective way that does not compromise the delivery of BAU services
  • Lead the HR Shared Service function to take ownership of and develop the existing service/process maps within Shared Service, embedding the awareness across the department
  • Support the scoping and effective implementation of new systems, tools, and processes
  • Develop a framework that enables the sharing of knowledge and cohesive working across HR Shared Service
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the evolving Service Delivery Model, using insight and expertise so that strategic plans add value to the business and drive enhanced functional performance
  • Lead, coach and engage diverse teams to ensure they have the capability and motivation to deliver against agreed objectives and continue to develop their skills and behaviours in line with career aspirations and business goals
  • Project management of ad hoc projects as they occur that will drive simplification, standardisation, and efficiency
  • Work with key stakeholder to frame operational plans
  • Ensure all aspects of HR Shared Service are delivered in accordance with legislation, regulatory and best practice guidelines including data handling, HR Administration, policies & processes, employee relations advice
  • Continuously review and develop shared service solutions/processes, policies and lead on the design, engagement, and implementation of improvements

Previous Experience Required:

  • Previous experience of leading an HR Shared Service function
  • Process improvement and project management
  • Inspirational leadership skills - setting standards of excellence across the department

Previous Knowledge required:

  • Risk and quality management
  • Understanding of Payroll
  • Understanding of HR Systems
