Are you an experienced Payroll Officer looking for your next challenge?
Payroll Officer / Warton / Office based / Full time and Permanent / up to £30k
Ashley Kate Finance are pleased to be working with an established manufacturing client to assist with their search of a Payroll Officer. Reporting to the Head of HR & Health & Safety, this role will be focusing on processing payroll for circa 300 employees across two sites. You will be responsible for both weekly and monthly staff and manage 4 different payroll runs so it is absolutely essential you have managed the end to end payroll piece.
Payroll Officer - About the role
You will be responsible for full end to end processing and collating and inputting all relevant data and information. You will also be involved in the analysis of payroll data, BACS payments, RTI Submissions, P11d's, P60's and P45's. It is essential the you have a good understanding of tax and salary calculations and are comfortable with answering employee queries. A major part of the role will be to administer SSP and SMP an you will lead on processing new starters, leavers, contract changes and absence payments.Other day to day duties will include balancing accounts, pension deductions, resolving discrepancies, overtime and deductions.
You will support the HR function with payroll reports and projects and you will play a key part in providing reports to support annual pay negotiations and all relevant commercial analysis in review and pay and the wider business objectives.
Payroll Officer - About you:
·You must have a proven background in running Payroll end to end across both weekly and permanent staff.
·Excellent Excel skills including V lookup
·Resilient and comfortable working under pressure
·Knowledge of Payroll legalisation
·CIPP Qualification or equivalent would be great but not essential.
