HR Administrator | Permanent | £21,313 | Denton | Hybrid (2 days in office) | Flexible Working

This role is a perfect opportunity for someone who is relatively early on in their HR career, or alternatively someone with excellent administration skills who has a keen interest in Human Resources and is looking for their next step into a HR role.

Your New Role

Within your new role as People Services Administrator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR team, contributing to providing a high-quality service to both employees and managers.

You will possess strong administration and IT skills and have a keen interest in Human Resources. You will be able to manage prioritising tasks successfully and have the ability to use your initiative, working in a proactive manner.

You will support with multiple responsibilities including managing the HR inbox, supporting with employee changes, liaising with payroll, project work, utilising and managing the HR system (iTrent), pulling and interpreting reports and supporting with all other adhoc HR administrative tasks.

You will also;

  • Administer any contractual changes during the employee life cycle, including issuing letters/contracts of employment and conducting changes to the HR system.
  • Process staff leavers, ensuring appropriate paperwork is issued and arrangements for last working day are finalised.
  • Act as the 'system expert' for iTrent.
  • Liaise with the payroll department on any other payroll & pension or staff queries as required.
  • Manage the HR database, inputting and updating records, and providing training to both employees and managers on their use of the HR system as appropriate.
  • Ensure maternity, paternity and adoption cases are communicated to payroll e.g. when leave commences and ends.
  • Ensure sickness absence cases are captured and the system is kept up to date.
  • Assist People Services colleagues in maintaining information databases, including Covid-19 absence and exit interviews.
  • Attend employee meetings to take minutes as required.
  • Support and assist the Head of People Services and wider business colleagues with a range of projects and initiatives as required.
  • Answer day to day queries from employees received to the generic HR inbox, including access to the HR system and annual leave queries.
  • Run weekly reports for staff sickness absence details, supporting the People Business Partners and People Services Officers to ensure correct policy and process is followed.
  • Promote Equality and Diversity as part of the culture of the organisation.

What You Will Need

  • Strong administration skills (experience within a HR team desirable)
  • Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple responsibilities
  • Strong communication skills, paired with the ability to work closely with staff at all levels
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office (Essential)
  • Good standard of education with a minimum of 5 'c' grade GCSE's including Maths and English or equivalent
