People Advisor, Not-for-Profit, 6-month FTC, circa £30,000 + 10% Completion Bonus, Norwich/Ipswich/Hybrid.

Your new company
Your new organisation - a not-for-profit NHS support service, is looking for a talented People Advisor to backfill an internal promotion. This role is key to delivering a high-quality people support service, through the delivery of operational HR and people plans.

The role is currently offered on a 6-month FTC, however, there is a possibility that this role could be extended for the right person.

This role is able to offer high degrees of flexibility, with multiple office locations including Norwich, Ipswich, and those within Essex. There are also measures for hybrid working.

Your new role
Within your new role, you will be supporting and delivering a high quality, credible, and knowledgeable operational people service, inclusive but not limited to the below responsibilities.

  • Delivering employment law advice
  • Supporting absence and performance management
  • Contributing to a positive workforce culture
  • Policy and procedure development
  • People development
  • Organisational development activities
  • HR Advice & Admin
  • Change management support
  • Employee relations, inclusive of advice, guidance, and support of formal and informal issues.
  • Recruitment activities, including strategy, end-to-end support, and RTW collation.
  • Any duties commensurate with role grading.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will have experience working within a HR team in an advisory capacity. It is beneficial for you to hold a CIPD accreditation or be actively studying towards completion. You will have experience supporting employee relation casework and be confident in delivering a robust advice service.

You will have comprehensive employment law knowledge, and be a strong communicator, with an ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels.

It is desirable that you have HR systems knowledge, with CIPHR being of particular advantage.

You will operate with high degrees of flexibility and be able to occasionally travel across sites (with notice), to support various teams.

You will not be afraid to challenge, be able to demonstrate intrigue, and have excellent attention to detail.
