HR Manager

Your new role
In this varied and diverse role, you will lead in the delivery of a high-quality HR function across all of the Council's services. A truly generalist position, you will be responsible for the management of ER casework, oversee the payroll process, support in the recruitment process, lead the provision of an effective L&D function across the Council's workforce, build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Trade Unions, as well as driving organisational development by improving employee engagement, health and wellbeing.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience of working in a generalist, senior HR position, as well as a CIPD qualification. You will be able to build effective working relationships quickly, as well as being committed to supporting the important service the Council provides to its local community. Preferably, you will have worked in local government or the public sector previously, and experience of managing the payroll process would be an advantage.
