HR Officer, 12 month FTC, £27000, Portadown, excellent development opportunity

Hays is pleased to be working exclusively with one of Northern Ireland's leading FMCG manufacturing companies to appoint an HR Officer to join their team. This is a 12 month FTC and an excellent opportunity for career development as you will have the opportunity to work with autotomy in the role, as well as closely alongside the HR Manager.


Your new role
As an HR Officer you will be responsible for:

• Supporting with recruitment and selection, including working in partnership with agencies.
• First point of contact for staff on any HR related queries.
• Supporting managers with performance management, absence management and disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Ensuring that policy and procedure are up to date with current legislation and that the organisation is compliant.
• Involvement in HR related projects.
• Management and coordination of all training and learning and development within the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the role of HR Officer you will need:

• Previous experience in a generalist HR role is essential
• Up to date knowledge of NI employment law
• Excellent communication skills
• IT proficient with MS Office
• CIPD Qualified is desirable
• Experience in a unionised environment would be desirable
