Learning & Development Programme Manager

Your new role

This L&D project role is essential in order to support the new democratic structure and in particular to design and provide training for member communities. The role holder will be an intrinsic part of a project to modernise our democracy. The role holder will take responsibility for the culture change initiative including L&D interventions from diagnostics to implementation and evaluation for our community representatives. This is a posting for 9 months initially.

Your Responsibilities

  • Create a project plan from concept to BAU implementation and define measures of success in collaboration with project team
  • Develop relationship with key stakeholders
  • Embed changes into existing structure
  • Evaluate success of project
  • Based in York and flexibility to travel nationally
  • Able to work independently and autonomously and within a team
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate the D4T learning and development programme
  • Develop training package including technical skills, soft skills, and cultural change
  • Ability to facilitate behavioural change
  • Work with L&D team and key stakeholders to ensure accurate and up-to-date Product and process information



What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience of cultural and behavioural diagnostics and ability to design and deliver interventions to drive positive change
  • Excellent L&D knowledge and understanding of learning cycle
  • Strong stakeholder management (experience of dealing with trade unions or equivalent).
  • Ability to adapt and deliver training to diverse and challenging audiences
  • Experience of leading cultural change and learning projects
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Professionally recognised training accreditation such as Assoc. CIPD or equivalent experience * Effective coaching to support training delivery
  • Experience of challenging in a constructive manner, with resilience and tenacity
