As HR Manager based near Leeds, you will be responsible for HR for the site with a small team reporting in. You will provide a professional and value-add service to your customers and play a pivotal role on the site SLT.

Key areas of responsibility include:

- Providing a proactive HR service including involvement in structural and strategic decision making and strategic advice.
- Driving change and challenging key managers and functions, ensuring HR is adding real value.
- Management of a small HR team.
- Ensuring standardisation of internal processes and procedures.
- Consulting with the Union, continuing to build further on the relationship.
- Providing a proactive generalist HR service including: employee relations, communications, resourcing, people development, performance management and reward.
- Ensuring a high quality of processes and procedures and effective utilisation of HRIS.
- Consulting and negotiating with the union for pay and any changes, ensuring effective employee relations are maintained.
- Working closely with the Talent Acquisition team, including close liaison on senior recruitment.
- Managing the full range of employment lifecycle processes.
- Assisting with the management of Learning and Development including appraisal management and course selection.
- Reviewing and implement compensation and reward proposals, managing and advising managers.

This role is a superb opportunity for an credible, commercially-minded and strategic HR Business Partner/HR Manager with superb generalist experience and proven ability to balance a strategic and operational role, whilst managing and developing a small team.

You will be part of the broader UK HR team and report to a very supportive Head of HR, with scope for involvement in wider people projects.

The ability to influence the SLT and management team is key as well as the resilience and flexibility to adapt different approaches and build sound relationships with different people.

This role offers significant autonomy and the chance to build and own the future success of HR within a hugely successful business.

You will have worked within a fast-paced environment ideally within manufacturing, engineering, logistics, services or similar. Unions experience is also key.

Salary offered is up to £70,000 (dep on exp) plus car allowance and bonus, as well as hybrid working & other benefits.
