HR Consultant

  • Permanent up to £45,000 + bonus + 4% pension
  • Benefits: Private medical insurance, subsidised gyms
  • WFH - occasional travel across the north east

Oakleaf Partnership are representing a UK based law firm that offers an outsourced HR advisory service to their existing clients. This role is an addition to the team and services heath, social and housing clients in the north east of England.

What is the role

You'll assist with a wide range of day-to-day HR queries and ER casework for clients who may not have the resources or capacity to deal with it themselves. You'll be conducting investigations into disciplinary, grievances and be present for appeals, review concluded ER matters, and consult on projects such as TUPE transfers. As an independent HR perspective, you will also offer advice on best practice, develop policies and procedures, and design training on HR topics for existing in-house teams going forward.

Candidate profile / experience

The successful candidate will have up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law, taking pride in providing a thorough and commercially minded approach to ER casework. Confidence and influence will be important to win the trust of your clients and establish great working relationships. Someone at Senior Advisor/Business Partner level would be advantageous, CIPD qualified candidates are a must, and experience working in an outsourced HR function would be desirable.
