Assistant HR Business Partner

  • 12 month Contract

Oakleaf Partnership are representing a public sector organisation based in Birmingham who are recruiting for an Assistant HR Business Partner to lead on and support HR Business Partners with HR project work and be responsible for Employee Relations (ER) casework effectively across the organisation.

What is the role?

In this role you will provide day to day operational and tactical advice and solutions to line managers and staff on HR policies and processes as well as advising Directors, Managers and staff on Human Resource policies, procedures and practices ensuring the advice provided complies with employment legislation and meets the operational requirements.

You will also provide specialist and risk­ based advice on the implementation of all employee relations queries including but not limited grievance, disciplinary, capability and performance procedures to ensure a fair, consistent, equitable and speedy resolution. Supporting Directors and Managers as appropriate, in hearings (Disciplinary, Grievance, Performance and Absence Management).

What will candidates need

  • Proven experience of managing and providing tactical, risk ­based HR advice on multiple ER cases
  • Demonstrable experience of leading on HR projects from inception to completion
  • Proven experience of supporting change management programmes
  • Demonstrable ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
