This is a remote role based in the South East of England and candidates from London, the Slough or Crawley area would be best placed to access the organisations offices.
Description
Our client is looking for an experienced HR leader to act as HR Director EMEA and to design and implement a people strategy that will assist our clients sustained growth across Europe.
Reporting to the VP and Head of HR, this role, The HR Director EMEA, will be crucial to plans to develop a regional shared services model across Europe with the aim of setting the best in class foundations to underpin future growth.
You MUST be able to demonstrate a history of delivering HR within a matrix environment and exceptional results within HR.
This role will require an HR leader that can demonstrate strategic and leadership abilities but also thrive in a busy environment where there will be an initial requirement to be operational and "role-up-your-sleeves"
Specific Duties
- Design and implement a people strategy for Europe that aligns with the global strategy and the business or function objectives across EMEA
- Coach leaders of the business on areas to include talent assessment, engagement, succession, people development and high-performing team characteristics
- Develop best in class talent management plans and partner with the leaders and managers of the business to attract, retain, develop, and engage talent in critical roles
- Hire, train, develop and mentor HRBP direct reports on employee development best practices to support business needs and strengthen the HR function
Profile
To be considered for the HR Director EMEA position you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- A CIPD Level 7 Qualification is strongly preferred
- Experience working in a Life Sciences business or business supporting the Pharmaceuticals industry with research or other services.
- Comprehensive experience working in a Matrix Organisation where you will have developed a sense of best practice.
- Strong knowledge of legal, employment issues and UK employment legislation.
- Considerable experience working with employees within Europe. Any experience of Eastern European employment law would be highly advantageous.
