With significant professional responsibilities, you will be functionally reporting to Head of People Function, Delivery and interact with multiple stakeholders within Maersk, primarily within the Contract Logistics (CL) area. 

As our HR Business Partner, you will partner with the Head of Europe Region Fulfilled by Maersk (FbM)  and leaders in the team to build world-class Contract Logistics (CL) and landside (First and middle mile) capability to underpin and drive the transformation and our Fulfilled by Maersk Strategy.  

Moreover, you will lead the respective People & Organisation strategy design and implementations to attract, hire, develop and retain diverse world-class talent with the required competencies, and have them working in an optimised organisational design underpinned by an attractive, inspiring and engaging culture. You will also collaborate with regional front line employee experience team for timely and quality execution of agreed people plans.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Actively contribute to the Contract Logistics & Landside Strategy and translate them to people and organisation strategies 

  • With the leadership teams, co-own the Contract Logistics (CL) & Landside agenda and enable the business making results which entail an exponential growth in the next 5 years 

  • Partner with the regional FbM Leaders to establish short and long term goals to drive business success ensuring the people agenda enables the respective Business strategies  

  • Act as sparring partner and courageous coach to senior leaders, site managers … helping them to develop and lead more impactfully. Drive the succession planning of key positions and long term talent development in the respective teams 

  • Partner with the senior leaders and Front-Line (FL) People partners to build an engaging working environment across the function  

  • Support senior leaders through strategic parts of annual HR cycle and partner with People Partners and deployment teams on support needed for annual HR cycle implementation across the function  

  • Foster a culture where the Maersk behaviours and values are embedded and on which business decisions are made  

  • In coordination with local Labour Relations experts, provide Industrial and Labour Relations guidance through strong knowledge of dealing with Trade Unions and Workers Councils and awards to minimise risks and meet legislations where we operate. 

  • Support leaders in building high performing teams that are prepared for the future needs of the Ocean and Logistics organisation, promoting a high-performance culture and addressing performance improvement needs within their teams  

  • Identify and close capability and competency gaps in close collaboration with the Font-Line (FL) People Partnering organization and FL Solutions team and through Strategic Workforce Planning and People Data 

  • Collaborate with regional FL employee experience team for timely and quality execution of agreed people plans. Collaborate and influence global Font-Line (FL) Solutions and people experience teams to ensure design of solutions and delivery organisation set up can properly execute on agreed people plans. 

  • In coordination with Rewards Partner and People experience rewards team, ensures our Rewards packages and structures are competitive and reflect the market, especially for certain segments of the skilled workforce (top talents, critical roles, hot skills/jobs, hot markets and niche skills) 

  • Proactively drive a culture of collaboration and sharing across regional and area HRBP community ensuring alignment across, working as well with Solutions teams and Capability partners to prioritize and develop Maersk’s future HR policies and processes based on short-and long-term business needs  

  • Develop strong HR talent though direct and indirect leadership and role modelling 

 

What we look for  

  • A minimum of 15+ years’ experience in a strategic, senior regional HR Leadership or Business partnering positions within a regional organisation.  

  • Excellence in influencing senior stakeholders, conceptualising and shaping strategies, challenging perceptions and expanding points of view while acting as the trusted advisor and courageous advocate 

  • Strong HR Operational background in Contract Logistics (Recruitment, HR related policies processes, systems, tools and solutions) 

  • Solid background managing frontline employees in best class front line people related companies. 

  • Resilience and maturity in dealing with change and delivering results in challenging environments 

  • Experience with Labour Relations and HSSE in European context 

  • Strong business acumen and data analytics skills
