Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with this "values led" business services organisation based in Chippenham to recruit a talented HR Manager on a permanent basis. The organisation offers hybrid working with the expectation to be in the Chippenham office 3 days per week. Ideally the role is full-time, however for the right person, flexibility around this could be offered.

Managing a small team of 2, you will be accountable for the development and delivery of the HR agenda / priorities which are aligned to the business strategy and support growth and future objectives. You will lead initiatives and design and implement solutions that drive business performance and work in partnership with Senior Managers to enable the delivery of HR objectives in a fair, transparent and consistent manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a HR plan that is aligned to the overall business Strategy; engage with the Senior Management team to facilitate implementation of the HR agenda and priorities across the business
  • All HR areas spanning Recruitment & Selection, Compensation, Employee Relations, Training and Development, Communications
  • Responsible for supporting, guiding, and enabling the management team to deliver a consistent people agenda across all areas of the business
  • Lead on key HR initiatives / projects that adds value and drives employee engagement and facilitate the delivery through the senior management team
  • Through leadership of the HR team (small team of 2), provide a proactive, effective and dedicated business focussed HR service to Line Managers in line with good practice and employment legislation
  • Through coaching and mentoring, equip line managers with the appropriate tools and knowledge to enable them to manage their teams effectively, driving a consistent and transparent approach to people management
  • Build a strong business relationship with the senior management team and through working closely with your customers develop a performance management culture
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of employees
  • Drive continuous improvement within the HR department by looking for continuous improvement opportunities such as identifying gaps / risks, recommend solutions and facilitate implementation through the management team
  • Coach line managers to develop their people management skills and provide timely and focused support across all areas of HR and Development
  • Ensure a positive ER environment and encourage employee commitment / engagement

We are looking for you to be a true generalist with at least 3-5 years senior HR advisory, HR management or HR partnering experience and ideally CIPD level 7 qualified, although your experience and approach is of more importance. You will possess sound all-round experience of the main disciplines of HR with experience of managing and developing a small HR team. Your background will include working in a diverse business e.g., operations and support and delivering tactical / operational solutions and contribute at a strategic level. You will be commercial in your outlook and able to understand business priorities and challenges. You will be able to build effective relationships with a strong, passionate and pragmatic customer base, flexible in your approach and thrive in a fast pace changing environment with superb communication skills.
