Your new company
We are delighted to be supporting an innovative and leading public sector group with the recruitment of this vital Head of L&OD job. The Learning and Organisational Development team support cultural and organisational projects across the group, with the aim of developing people, nurturing talent and co-creating inclusive workspace.
They have a very attractive benefits package which includes 37 days annual leave plus bank holidays and additional closure days between Christmas and New Year. They are able to offer hybrid and flexible working in this role. We have a fantastic pension with the employer contributing 17% and many other benefits.

Your new role
As the Head of department, you will identify and lead on organisational development priorities and solutions to support the delivery of the Group People Strategy. This will include undertaking regular Learning Needs Analyses across the group and developing an annual programme of related training and development activities, that is blended, relevant and high quality. You will manage the Learning and Organisational Development Team (4 staff members) and oversee the design and deployment of high impact leadership and management development programmes, events and projects.


What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for someone with the experience of leading and delivering people related projects across a large complex organisation, in particular strategic learning and organisational development programmes, including employee engagement interventions. Communication and collaboration are key and so excellent stakeholder engagement skills are essential. Previous experience of managing or leading people is required.
