HR Officer (HR Advisor) | Maternity Cover (9 - 12 months) | £30,000 - £34,000 | Salford


Exciting new role for a HR Officer (HR Advisor) within the Education Sector, to support with a maternity cover in a welcoming, pleasant working environment.

Seeking a passionate HR candidate who is approachable and confident, with strong communication skills, who will support the junior HR professional (one direct report).

Your New Role

Within your new role, you will provide a comprehensive HR service to the organisation whilst also working alongside the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring that all HR related matters are dealt with in an effective and consistent manner, also providing advice and guidance to employees regarding policy and best practice.

Within this generalist role you will support with/oversee;

  • Employee Relations (working closely with the HR BP to ensure they are aware of current casework)
  • Absence Management
  • Recruitment & Safeguarding
  • Inductions & Exit Interviews
  • Payroll Support
  • Providing Assistance and Guidance to Employees
You will develop excellent working relationships with colleagues internally, centrally and externally, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures. You will also plan and deliver training and development of staff where appropriate.

What You Will Need
  • Experience working within the HR field, within a similar role.
  • An understanding of current employment law and legislation.
  • Experience supporting with ER Casework.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, prioritising workload.
  • To be confident dealing with all levels of seniority.
  • CIPD Qualification
  • Line management experience
  • Experience within the education sector (desirable)
  • An understanding of relevant legislation concerning safeguarding (desirable)
