£28,000 + Benefits & Hybrid working (3 days in the office)

This highly successful business based in Swindon has an urgent need for an experienced Payroll Officer to join them on an initial 6-month fixed term contract, to cover staff absence.

You will work alongside the Payroll Manager, to provide support with the processing of their weekly payroll (c1000 FTEs). As they operate a weekly payroll, it you will need to be able to work quickly and efficiently to ensure all processes are followed and all colleagues are paid correctly and on time.

Duties will include;

  • Processing a weekly payroll for 1000+ employees.
  • Checking timesheets to ensure all colleagues are paid their contracted hours.
  • Processing the weekly starters and leavers.
  • Calculating statutory payments.
  • Creating the bacs file to send to finance.
  • Running end of period reports.
  • Adding and removing employees from the Benefits platform.

Successful applicants will have solid Payroll experience, gained within a fast paced environment, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables/v look ups) and excellent communications skills both written and verbal. You will also have good attention to detail and a high level of English, Numeracy and I.T skills.
