In this vital role, you’ll join our diverse Engineering and Operations department (E&O) which focuses on all aspects of secure construction, from design to delivery. We create and refurbish buildings, install technical protective security systems and ensure our buildings and services remain safe and secure.

Nurture talent to help people be their best selves at work

This is a new position in a brand-new team, so you’ll be eager to make the role your own as you identity career development opportunities, oversee training plans for the whole of E&O and manage learning budgets.  

Your first port of call will be a skills audit, helping us to identity any gaps and put support into place so our staff can be their best selves at work. You’ll ensure all relevant health and safety regulations are observed, taking action to identify, address and resolve or escalate risks to relevant teams. A comfortable communicator, you’ll build and maintain professional relationships across all departments and seniorities, whether through managing direct reports, handling stakeholder relations or liaising with suppliers.

Organise, train, deliver

As a strategic and organised planner, you’ll lead on the skills matrix, technical career paths and professional development, setting up focus groups to look at talent and concession plans. Excellent time management is essential, as you’ll also manage capacity and capability to ensure the correct resource and efficient delivery on projects across E&O.

Confident using HERA (our HR and finance system), performing skills gap analyses and managing talent, you might be looking to step up or across with this role. Though you’ll be managing the progression of your team, we’ll be dedicated to supporting yours, offering training and workshops that match your career goals.
